Pascal vigil was celebrated on Saturday at 7.00 P.M. Pascal rites were conducted with a theme “ Life in Christ is the proof of Resurrection”. Ft. Ivan conducted the rites and shared a thought provoking homily and concelebratd the holy Eucharist with Fr. Charles Menezes. Fr. Mathew was the main celebrant. After the mass, the winners and all the participants of the bible quiz from 18 wards were awarded a prize.
GOODFRIDAY - 2018
“Cross of Jesus Christ proclaims a message to mankind”. In his homily Fr. Mathew Vas shared the significance of cross as the sign of love, victory, hope, obedience and sacrifice. The days liturgy and a meaningful way of the cross at noon was conducted both by Fr Mathew and Fr. Ivan. A large number of parishioners attended devotedly in the liturgy of the day.
MAUNDY THURSDAY 2018
Maundy Thursday was observed on 29th March to commemorate the last supper and the institution of the Holy Eucharist by Jesus Christ. “ Reaching out in loving service, lets was each other Feet” was the theme of celebration. Being the main celebrant Fr. Mathew washed the feet of twelve persons. Fr. Ivan delivered an enlightening homily during mass, inviting the parishioners, not to just remember, but to do it in memory. The Eucharistic ministers renewed their commitment. At the end Fr. Mathew Vas conducted an adoration be fitting the occasion – Jesus at the garden of Getsemony.
PALM SUNDAY – 2018
March 25th was observed as Palm Sunday. Palms were blessed at the Guardian Angel School premises at 7.30 A.M. Thereafter the parishioners went in a procession to the church. Vicar Fr. Mathew Vas was the main celebrant and Asst. Fr. Ivan D’ Souza concelebrant at the Eucharistic celebration.
CATECHISM AT MANGALORE
Based on theme of the Catechetical year 2017, Building Christian Communities through Faith Education. we commenced our catechism classes through creative and meticulous planning . Our catechism year was concluded on 25th Feb 2018 with the Holy Eucharist at 9.00 a.m., celebrated by Fr. Mathew Vas, the Parish Priest and Fr. Ivan D’Souza Asst. Parish Priest.
Later, at 10.15 a.m. students staged a short cultural programme. Various themes based on the importance of Rosary, Passion of Christ through Mime, the problems of modern world through Tableau, Culture of Konkani through dance, songs and skits were the hallmark of the day. Most of the items were presented in Konkani. Co- ordinator Sr Lorna presented the annual report . The gathering through the Fr Ivan D’Souza the Asst. parish priest delivered the message to all the gathering regarding the importance of faith and the Gospel values, culture and religion that need to be instilled in the children. He thanked all the catechism teachers. Mr. Roshan Patrao the vice president and Mrs. Dora Rodrigues secretary of the parish council were present for the Programme. Finally prizes were distributed to the children for their good performance in the Exams. Refreshments were served to the children.
Angelore 26th Jan 2018: ‘SAMUDAAY DIVAS’ - 2018 was a day of five hours colourful presentation of musical and cultural items. 20 out of 21 wards of the Parish, expressed their unity and exposed their creativity through dances and skits in the evening from 5.00 to 10.00 p.m. The Vice President of the PPC Mr. Roshan Patrao welcomed the gathering and Secretary Mrs. Dora Rodrigues placed the report of the events and projects undertaken in the parish for the welfare of the parishioners since the last Samudaay Divas (Community Day).

Christmas Souhardakoota was celebrated on 19th December 2017 at 6.00 p.m in Golden jubilee memorial hall. Parish pastoral committee members and 110 members of our various wards Hindu as well as Muslims brothers and sisters attended this program. The program started with a prayer song by our youth. Our parish priest Rev. Fr Mathew Vas welcomed the gathering and said we are the followers of various faith have gathered here to celebrate the commemoration of Christ’s birth. Legion of Mary - 2017
The much awaited “ BAAL ANGELORE” was held on 29th October, 2017 at Guardian Angel Church Hall, an event organized by the Angelore Youth Movement.
A total of 20 contestant participated in the event. Mrs CORRINE RASQUINHA Founder and President of White Doves Mangalore was the chief guest for the evening. Mr Vinol Roche wonderfully introduced Mrs Corrine Rasquinha . Mr. Rajesh dcosta, Mrs viola pinto and MS Elvita periera were the judges for the event.
The entire event consisted of 3 different rounds. That can be named as basic ,wisdom , genral rounds. The MC for the rounds were jasmine saldanha , rhea perreia and Vinol roche . Each round getting tougher and tighter in the course. Finally at the end three of our children emerged victorious.
Legion of Mary - 2017
The annual programme of Legion of Mary of Angelore Parish was held on 15/10/2017. All the members of Legion together thanked Mother Mary during the Eucharistic celebration at 7.30 a.m. Rev. Fr Mathew Vas presided over the Eucharist.
Sharp at 3.45 p.m. the same evening the cultural program commenced with the Rosary. Later with an invocation dance by the legionaries. All the legionaries performed a variety of programme like skit, jokes and song. In a short formal function a felicitation was arranged for Mrs. Cecilia D’ Souza and Mrs. Jessy Sequeira for their 25 years of dedicated service in the Legion of Mary. Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Mathew Vas presided over the function. In his message he congratulated all the legionaries for their dedicated services in the parish. He wished good luck for the coming year.

Sunday the September 24th, 2017, was celebrated as a Confraternity Sunday. Rev.Fr. James D’Souza the Parish priest of Valencia Mangalore was the main celebrant of the Eucharist. Fr. Mathew Vas the Parish priest of Angelore and guest priest Fr. Charles Menezes concelebrated the Eucharist.
EUCHARIST BUILDS THE COMMUNITY’ was the theme of the day. “Jesus is the Bread of Life. Let us honor him who is present in this Eucharist.” Said Fr. James in his introduction of the Holy Eucharist. In his homily, Fr. James stressed that Eucharist at the Last Supper, was the celebration of what Jesus lived in His life. Therefore, it is a celebration of the family, because we are to share what we have with our less fortunate member of the parish. There were no one who was in need in the early Christian Church. The Eucharistic Celebration gets over in the church which is a sign of our Service to our fellow parishioner. This service begins at the end of the Holy Mass. Today there is a longing for love. Let us share that love and time for the lonely and aged. Fight for the justice for those who are weak. Only love and forgiveness will build the relationship in our families, wards, parish and society at large.
PARISH CELEBRATION OF MONTHI FEST 2017
Monthi Fest is always celebrated with great Faith, Fervor and Grandeur. This year too, we all gathered in the morning of 8th September at the campus of church Mary Bai now called as late Jayanth D’ Souza’s compound, where our church was first established in the house of John Coelho. Before starting the Liturgical ceremony at 8.30 am vicar Rev. Fr. Mathew Vas remembered late Jayanth respectfully and lovingly. A minute’s silent prayer was offered for the vibrant fellow who was going around clicking the snaps on the same occasion.
Before blessing the new corn, the word of God was presented by Fr. Arthur Menezes Ofm Cap. The new corn was blessed by the vicar and the flowers were offered to Infant Mary by the children.
ELDERS’ DAY - 2017
On 27th August 2017 The Catholic Sabha of the parish organized the Elders day. Nearly 150 senior citizens, above 65 years of age took part in the programme.
The celebration started with special mass at 11.00A.M followed by a short stage programme. The president of the Catholic Sabha, Ms. Philomena Tauro welcomed the gathering. One of the Senior citizen of the parish Ms. Philomena D’ Souza (Retired office superintendent, D.D.P.I, Education Dept.) was the chief guest. In her message she appreciated the activities of the Sabha, and its concern towards the elders’ in bringing them together to spend a day happily.
The Parish priest, Fr. Mathew Vas extended the greetings of the day and wished all elders good health and happiness. He also congratulated the Catholic Sabha for organizing the function.
SMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY PARISH CONFERENCE 2017
“Though we are created in the image of God, it is distorted by the original sin. The main aim of our Small Christian Communities is to set right that image. This is a continuous process and not a single days work.” So said Fr. Joachim Fernandes who was the resource person for the session held at the Small Christian Community Parish Conference organized in the Angelore Parish Hall on Friday, the 25th of August 2017.
The Gist of the teaching by Fr. Joachim Fernandes is, -The Holy Trinity lives in a community. Jesus lived in a community during his life on earth. The Apostles and early Christians lived in a community and shared everything with one another. We are the instruments of the Holy Spirit. Because we don’t allow the spirit to work in us, we don’t participate in the meetings of Small Christian Community in the ward.

With lots of enthusiasm and devotion 25 of our children received Holy Communion on 7th May 2017. Rev. Fr. Mathew Vas was the main celebrant, Rev. Fr. Rahul Dexter D’ Souza preached a meaningful sermon. Rev. Fr. Joel Vas, Rev. Fr. Patrick Rodrigues and Rev. Fr Harald D’ Souza were concelebrant. The liturgy was beautifully done by the little angels of our Parish. Sr. Christine took the initiative to teach catechism and prepare the little ones for the Holy Communion.

Good Friday was observed in silence with faithful making visits to the church from morning 6.30 A.M and way of the cross was 11.00 A.M
The service began at 5.30p.m., a day commemorated Jesus passion and death. Sermon was preached by Rev.Fr. Rahul D’ Souza, following the veneration of the cross. Congregation had gathered in huge numbers.

The celebration of the Eucharist began at 7.00 p.m. in the church premises. A day where Eucharist & priesthood was instituted was solemnly remembered and celebrated. The washing of the feet of the 12 apostles sent ripples to every person’s heart as to what every catholic is called to do.
Rev. Fr. Mathew Vas presided over the Eucharist. Rev. Fr. Rahul D’ Souza was the co-celebrant. Rev. Dn. Dixon D’ Souza preached the sermon. The blessed host was adored at the end.
GUARDIAN ANGEL CHURCH SABHA BHAVAN INAUGURAL
Another chapter was written in the books of Guardian Angel Church as the newly constructed AC hall was inaugurated by Mr. Oscar Fernandes Member of Rajya Sabha. Most Rev. Dr. Aloysius Paul D’ Souza blessed and presided over the function . Other dignitaries were Mr. J.R. Lobo, M.L.A, Mr. Keshava M. corporator, V. Rev. Ser. Metilda Monteiro, provincial Superior sisters of charity, Mr. Gafur, Chairman Minority Development corporation and Mrs. Blossom Fernandes. The Guardian Angel Church Sabha Bhavan is the first of its kind with 700 seating capacity.
Around 500 of our parishioners were present to witness the grand opening of the A.C hall. Finally a dream came true for everyone who worked in and out for the betterment of the parish.

The sacrament of confirmation was received by 35 teenagers of our Guardian Angel Church. Most Rev. Dr. Aloysius Paul D’ Souza, Bishop of Mangalore administered the sacrament to them. On December 13th at 6.00 p.m. Christmas souharda was called in the name of fellowship, which had brethren from other faith to celebrate Christmas and share the message of Christ.
Parish priest welcomed every person gathered for the program. Carols were sung by the youth of the parish. An Occasion was given to the people gathered to speak on the same as to share their sentiments about Christmas.
Members of Parish Pastoral Parishad were also present. More glitter was added by playing some party games. At the end Christmas sweets (Kuswar) was distributed to the guests.

The Annual programme of the Legion of Mary was held on 23/10/2016 at Angelore Church. All the Legionaries together thanked Mother Mary during the Eucharistic celebration at 7.30 A.M. Rev. Fr. Mathew was presided over the Eucharist.
The cultural programe commenced at 3.40 P.M. the same evening with the Rosary. All the Legionaries performed a variety of cultural programmes like news reading, skit, Action song dance and Kavali. A short formal function was arranged. Rev. Fr. Mathew Parish Priest presided over the function and gave a wonderful message to all gathered and congratulated and wished all the Legion members for their dedication and service in the Parish.

The Feast of our patron Guardian Angel was celebrated on 02 nd October 2016 @ 10.30 A.M. Rev. Fr. Mathew Vas, the parish priest as a mark of service, gave the candles to the Parish council members.
Rev. Fr. Valerian S. D’ Souza Parish Priest of Milagres Church presided over the Eucharistic celebration. Other 14 priests from far and near joined for concelebration. The Angelic singing led by Mr. Melwin Peris and the group added beauty and resplendence.

Besp (known as vespers) a day before the feast was well participated by the parishioners of Angelore at 6.30p.m. in the evening. Rev. Fr. Clifford Fernandes presided over the ceremony. Word of God was the key factor for the evening. This Homily emphasized as to how God’s word has touched our lives. Thus enabling us to give thanks to the almighty.
Finally the benediction was given to all. Stalls were open with variety of games organized by the AYM (Angelore Youth Movement).

To show our oneness with our own brothers and sisters as parishioners, confraternity sunday was observed on 25/09/2016 at 5.30 p.m with a Eucharistic celebration.
The Holy mas was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Vincent V. Menezes parish Priest of Paldane. A meaningful sermon was given by him in which he laid emphasis on every member being the the servant and a caretaker of his brother and sister.

Teachers’ Day celebration - 2016
Teachers are the backbone of a nation. Their selfless service shapes the future of the children and thereby that of the country. Carrying forward the tradition of honouring the pillars of our nation, Teachers’ Day was celebrated on behalf of the parish by the Angelore unit of Catholic Sabha on 4th September 2016.
The day was marked by celebrating the Holy Eucharist in the morning and a short cultural programme thereafter. The retired and serving teachers of the parish led the liturgy. After the mass, a programme was held at the church hall.
YOUTH SAMAVESH 2016
An effort was made from the part of the Youth Committee to bring together all the youngsters of the Guardian Angel Church Angelore, those who fell into the age group of 18 to 28.
“ Youth café “ was the theme chosen. Altogether 74 youngsters keenly took part with lot of energy, flare and fervor. Fr. Ronald D’ Souza the Diocesan ICYM Director along with Mr. Joel Concessao saw into the event thus making it a nostalgic one. Discussion, Debate and decision were the hallmark of the program.

The Holy Week Ceremony at Guardian Angel Church, Angelore, was a beautiful event. Maundy Thursday mass began at 7 P.M. with Fr Matthew Vas being the main celebrant and Fr Rahul D’Souza the concelebrant. The main celebrant washed the feet of 12, of whom 5 were men, 5 women and 2 religious.
The church was left open until midnight for prayer and worship.

The aged are the treasure of our families and in order to honour them, the Catholic Sabha of the Angelore Parish organized 'The Senior Citizens’ Day' in the Parish on Sunday, the 13th December 2015 for the elders above 65 years of age.
The celebration started with the Holy Mass at 11.45 A.M. Our Past Asst. Parish Priest, Fr. Frank Rodrigues offered the mass and his homily with the message touched everone’s heart.

CLC Angelore as it always does conducted the Kids Talent Show ”Baal Angelore” on the Occasion of its Parish Feast on October 4th 2015. It was a special occasion as the team were conducting the Event on the Open Grounds of the Guardian Angel, Church, Angelore, to mark the 25th Anniversary of the Event.

Confraternity Sunday - 2015
It was a great and pleasant evening for all the parishioners of Angelore as they celebrated the confraternity Sunday with a feeling of brotherhood coupled with joy and love.
The mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr Clifford Fernandes, Professor of St Joseph’s Seminary. His thought provoking sermon stir the spirits of every gathered person in the church. After mass the Blessed Sacrament was exposed and taken in procession all the way to Capitanio School premises. Final blessing at the same place saw the conclusion of the entire ceremony. Large number of parishioners gave witness to the Lord by silently proclaiming to the people in the vicinity, Jesus as the master and saviour.
Teacher's Day - 2015
The Teacher’s Day was celebrated on 6th of September, by the catholic sabha members. The Holy Mass was presided over by Rev. Fr Matthew vas, the Parish Priest. The liturgy was conducted by the teachers themselves. After the mass the gathering saw 60 teachers being present for the celebration.
The Chief guest of the day was Mrs Philomena Tauro, from Angelore. a retired teacher who spent 40 years in teaching career in various capacities. In her talk she said that a teacher never retires, so also learning and teaching keep going.
Community Day - 2015
The ‘Community Day’ of the Angelore Parish was held on 3 rd May 2015. Three events were held as prelude to the Day. A variety of games were held for children on 12 th April 2015 and for adults on 19 th April 2015. The grand precursor to the Day was the procession of food grains – called ‘Vojyacho Purshanv’ – held on 1 st May 2015. The members of all wards of the parish assembled at the residence of Mr. Mr. J. D’ Souza, which served as the Church during the infancy of the parish. The parishioners brought rice, onions, chillies, gherkins, garlic, and such other items for the food to be prepared the next day. The grand procession took off at 6.00 p.m. and the groceries received and blessed by the parish priest Fr. Mathew Vas at the church all.

We the Parishioners of Guardian Angel Church, angelore Gathered together on October 2nd, the Eucharistic Table to give thanks to god for all the good things we have received from our patron Guardian Angel. Rev. Fr. Clifford Fernandes professor at St Joseph’s Seminary was the main celebrant and 20 priests concelebrated during the Holy Eucharist.
The Liturgy and Homely was on the theme of the feast. Let us be the angels of Reconciliation like Guardian Angels. Rev. Fr. Mathew Vas the parish priest thanked each and every one for their support to make this day joyous one.
Confraternity Sunday - 2014
The Parish community of Guardian Angel Church Angelore, gathered together around the Eucharistic Table on Sunday the 28th September 2014 at 5.30 p.m. Rev. Fr. Sunil Pinto the Assistant Parish Priest of Bejai Parish was the main celebrant. Rev. Fr. Mathew Vas the parish priest and Rev. Fr. Deepak Leo D’Sa Asst Parish Priest concelebrated the theme of the day was Eucharist is the ocean of love and the source of forgiveness..”
After the Solemn mass there was the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. Thereafter the Eucharistic procession was held from the church to capitanio high school ground. A Prayer of dedication was led by the head of the parish families i.e. Vicar Rev. Fr. Mathew Vas.
Angelore Football Cup - 2014
Indian Catholic Youth Movement of Guardian Angels church, Angelore organized a football match on 20 and 21st September at Nehru Maidan.
It was inaugurated on 20th September Saturday at 10:30 a.m by Rev. Fr. Deepak D’sa and Mr. Lancy Monteiro.
24 parishes took part in this sporting event. Final match was played between Valencia and Ranipura which resulted in the victory of Valencia parish. Ranipura parish were the Runners-up.
Nativity Feast - 2014
The Anjelore parishioners flocked to the old church premises which is now the residence of Mr. Jayanth and Mrs. Josphine D’Souza for the blessing of the new corn and offering of the flowers to Infant Mary on September 8th 2014.
Teacher's Day - 2014
The Catholic Sabha of Angelore Parish celebrated the ‘Teacher’s Day’ on Sunday, the 7 th September 2014. Rev. Fr. Mathew Vas the Parish Priest celebrated the 7.30 a.m. Holy Mass in which teachers themselves conducted the liturgy.
Fr. Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, Principal, St. Joseph Degree College, Jeppu, was the chief Guest of the day. In his message he said that teachers are like burning candles who not only guide young minds but also toil and moil to shape the bright future of the students.
