CONFRATERNITY SUNDAY, VESPER AND PARISH FEAST - 2017

PARISH FEST 2017

Sunday the September 24th, 2017, was celebrated as a Confraternity Sunday. Rev.Fr. James D’Souza the Parish priest of Valencia Mangalore was the main celebrant of the Eucharist. Fr. Mathew Vas the Parish priest of Angelore and guest priest Fr. Charles Menezes concelebrated the Eucharist.

EUCHARIST BUILDS THE COMMUNITY’ was the theme of the day. “Jesus is the Bread of Life. Let us honor him who is present in this Eucharist.” Said Fr. James in his introduction of the Holy Eucharist. In his homily, Fr. James stressed that Eucharist at the Last Supper, was the celebration of what Jesus lived in His life. Therefore, it is a celebration of the family, because we are to share what we have with our less fortunate member of the parish. There were no one who was in need in the early Christian Church. The Eucharistic Celebration gets over in the church which is a sign of our Service to our fellow parishioner. This service begins at the end of the Holy Mass. Today there is a longing for love. Let us share that love and time for the lonely and aged. Fight for the justice for those who are weak. Only love and forgiveness will build the relationship in our families, wards, parish and society at large.
