SMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY PARISH CONFERENCE 2017

“Though we are created in the image of God, it is distorted by the original sin. The main aim of our Small Christian Communities is to set right that image. This is a continuous process and not a single days work.” So said Fr. Joachim Fernandes who was the resource person for the session held at the Small Christian Community Parish Conference organized in the Angelore Parish Hall on Friday, the 25th of August 2017.

The Gist of the teaching by Fr. Joachim Fernandes is, -The Holy Trinity lives in a community. Jesus lived in a community during his life on earth. The Apostles and early Christians lived in a community and shared everything with one another. We are the instruments of the Holy Spirit. Because we don’t allow the spirit to work in us, we don’t participate in the meetings of Small Christian Community in the ward.

CATECHISM INAUGURAL - 2017

June 11th, 2017 witnessed the inauguration of the Catechism classes. Rev. Fr. Mathew Vas presided over the Eucharistic celebration. The teachers as well as the children equally participated in the liturgy.

Many more present for the celebration, who never wanted to miss the occasion. At the end it was a beautiful and memorable day which every person cherished.

POLICE PUBLIC MEET - 2017

On Sunday, 4th june 2017, the Catholic Sabha of the Angelore Parish organized a ‘Police – Janasamparka Sabhe” (Police public meet) in the church hall at 8.45 a.m.

Rev. Fr. Mathew Vas, the Parish Priest presided over the meet and Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh Mr. Anil Lobo was the chief guest

Mr. Ravi Naik, the Mangalore city police Inspector Kankanady branch and Mr. Suresh Kumar the traffic Inspector, Kadri Mangalore were the main speakers.
