The Angelore and Bajal units of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh ® in collaboration with Social Welfare, Education and Youth Welfare Commissions of the parish organised a workshop on Preparation for Competitive Bank Exams on 28th August 2022 at the Angelore Sabhabhavan, Angelore Church. The workshop was conducted by All Catholic Bank Employees’ Association.
The stage was graced by President of the Programme, Rev. Fr. William Menezes, Parish Priest; Mrs. Dora Rodrigues, the Chief Guest; Mr. Noel Pinto, Vice President of Parish Pastoral Council; Mrs. Lolina D’Souza, Secretary of Parish Pastoral Council; and Mr. Alwyn D’Souza, President, Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh ® Bajal Unit.
Mrs. Dora Rodrigues, the chief guest who worked in the banking sector for 40 years, in her address gave call to youngsters to come forward to work in the banking sector. She emphasised that in the banking sector there is immense potential for personal growth. Mr. Audy Rego, President of All Catholic bank Employees Association and Mr. Stephen Robert Tellis, course coordinator of Nethravathi Training Institute, Kankanady, were the resource persons. They furnished detailed information on the facilities available for bank employees and how to prepare for banking exams. Parishioner, Mr. Malcolm D’Souza, who is serving as Assistant Manager, Karnataka Bank, Haveri, shared experience of preparing for banking exams.
In his presidential address, Rev. Fr. William Menezes lauded the Catholic Sabha for organising programmes for the welfare of the community. He encouraged the youngsters to explore newer areas like banking sector in order to lay foundation for a brighter future.
Fifty-eight youngsters from Angelore, Kelarai, Ferrar, Bajal, Paldane, Cascia, Bajjodi, Omzoor, Kulshekar and Bendur parishes participated in the programme. Mr. Felix Moras, President, Catholic Sabha Angelore Unit welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Renita Vas and team led the prayer; Mr. Darryl Lasrado proposed the vote of thanks; Mr. Rajesh Misquith compèred the programme.
