The Church in India has been confronting with many problems these days. To mention a few: false accusations on Mother Teresa's Convent sisters at Calcutta and the Sacrament of Penance, ill treatment of Christians in Jharkhand and other states etc. There is a need to fight against all the injustice towards Christians.
Moreover, we have to face the Parliament elections in 2019.We only hope for the formation of a good government which would protect and safeguard the rights of the minority in the country.
With immense faith in Christ, 174 dioceses in the country have been circulating the Jericho cross from Parish to Parish.
Jericho cross arrived at Angelore Parish on 8th August 2018 at 4:30 p.m. The cross was received with great reverence by the Parish family and took part in the Jericho prayer and Holy hour. The cross was in the Parish for three days and people of every ward in turn took part in the prayers every morning and evening. On the third day Rev Fr Cyril Lobo from Gulbarga preached on the mystery of the Cross and its importance in the Christian life. The cross was then sent to Bajjodi Parish by the Parish priest and the parishioners.
