Sunshine+laughter+good company+friendship+food+fun=perfect picnic day
Picnic for the children of Angelore Children's Choir and Altar Servers was organised on 8th May 2024 to Immanuel Recreation and Water Park, Neelavara, Brahmavar.
Forty-eight children and seven animators along with Rev. Fr William Menezes and Rev. Fr Gerald Pinto set out for the picnic on the day at 8.30 a.m. after invoking God’s blessings.
The tourist bus provided a cosy and comfortable nature best for fun, music, games, laughter and excitement all through the journey. We reached out destination at 10:15 a.m. The surrounding was congenial and mellow. We were welcomed by the crew at Emmanuel with sumptuous breakfast.
Water enthrals the young and old alike. After the breakfast we were treated with exciting boat ride in River Sita. There were also different water sports such as pedal boating, coracle and kayaking.
The playground had everything children needed to make their day: trees, slushy mud, pathways, water bodies, plants and greenery. The crew of Emmanuel conducted some games such as tug of war, dog and the bone, passing the bottle etc.
In the afternoon delicious food was served, which refilled our energy. The throw ball and volleyball in the muddy water gave us the experience of our lifetime. The team then took us to the bank of river and taught us swimming. It was totally a new experience of learning swimming. Then we had some refreshments and evening snacks were served. Rain dance gave respite from the scorching sun.
On the whole, it was a day of recreating fond memories and enjoy. We thanked the team for entertaining us and helping us to create the best memories and at 5:15 p.m.
