YUVA MILAN 2024

On Sunday, July 14, 2024, the Angelore Youth Movement (AYM), in collaboration with Youth Commission and Social Welfare Commission, hosted a vibrant and engaging event named YUVA MILAN. The event, aimed at fostering unity and camaraderie among the youth, took place with great enthusiasm and saw an impressive turnout of over 120 young participants. Before the program officially began, the AYM members presented an energetic flashmob in front of the church premises, captivating the audience and setting a lively and enthusiastic mood for the day.

The day began with a warm and welcoming breakfast for all attendees. At 9 AM, the program officially commenced with a serene prayer song, setting a reflective and positive tone for the day. Rayan Lobo, the President of AYM, extended a heartfelt welcome to everyone present, marking the beginning of the formal proceedings. Following the welcome address, the guests inaugurated the event by lighting sparkling firecrackers, symbolizing the bright and dynamic spirit of the youth gathered.

The event was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests, including the parish priest, Rev. Fr. Frederick Monteiro, who was the keynote speaker. Other notable attendees included Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Stany Fernandes, Parish Council Vice President Mr. Paul Rodrigues, Secretary Lolina Dsouza, and Ms. Renita Menezes. The event was further honoured by the presence of the deanery council members. Rev. Fr. Frederick Monteiro delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking address, touching on various critical issues concerning today's youth. His speech was followed by an interactive questionnaire session, allowing the attendees to engage directly with the topics discussed and express their views. Members of AYM shared their personal experiences within the organization, highlighting the benefits and encouraging others to join. Their testimonies underscored the positive impact of AYM on their lives and the community. Gladlin Mascarenhas did a commendable job as the event host, ensuring a smooth flow of activities. The formal part of the program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Rhea D'Souza, the Secretary of AYM.

Following the formalities, Sweedal D’Souza took charge and energized the crowd with action songs and games, bringing a lively and fun-filled atmosphere to the event. The winners of the games were rewarded with prizes, adding to the excitement and joy of the day. A special moment of celebration was dedicated to Riyani Miranda, who was congratulated on successfully clearing the CA finals, marking a significant personal achievement. The event concluded on a high note with a spirited Baila dance, leaving everyone with fond memories of a day well spent in unity and joy. YUVA MILAN was indeed a memorable event, reinforcing the bonds among the youth and inspiring them for future endeavours.
