YUVA MILAN 2021 was organized by the Angelore Youth Movement (AYM) affiliated to Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) of Guardian Angel Parish Angelore on 29th August at 4 pm in the Golden Jubilee Hall. The dignitaries on the dais were Rev. Fr William Menezes, Parish Priest, Rev.Fr Lawrence Cutinha Assistant Parish priest, Mr. Alistair D’Souza, Animator, Ms. Melisha Pinto President and Ms. Joylin D’Souza Secretary. Around 50 youths participated in the Yuva Milan Programme.
The programme began with prayer song by the youth followed by reflections on the reading from the Holy Bible by Rev.Fr William Menezes. Ms. Melisha Pinto the president of AYM welcomed the dignitaries and the gathering. Rev Fr. William Menezes the Parish Priest of Guardian Angel Church and the Director of AYM unit Angelore presided over the Function. In his address he congratulated the youth for coming together in large numbers and organizing this event. He highlighted the role of youth in the parish and society at large. He emphasized that youth are the center focus of the parish with their vibrant energy they can bring better revolution in the entire society and encouraged them to come forward and take active part in all youth activities. He also thanked Mr. Alistair D’Souza, Animator of Angelore Youth Movement for his service.
On this occasion Mr. Alistair D’Souza the Animator was felicitated for his service to the Angelore youth Movement by Rev.Fr William Menezes and Rev.Fr Lawrence Cutinha. Mr. Ovin Pereira, the joint secretary of AVM on behalf of the youth thanked Mr. Alistair Dsouza for his immense contribution in the past years for the youth activity. The Yuva Milan Program was vibrant with the games followed by the meeting along with the new Office bearers and the youth. Ms. Joylin D’Souza presented the report.
Rev Fr. Lawrence Cutinha, Assistant Parish Priest and Assistant Director of Angelore youth movement conducted the meeting. The youths participated with lot of enthusiasm and came out with plans for future activities. Mr. Aarol Lobo Vice President proposed the Vote of Thanks.
