Young Catholic Students is an international movement present in more than 80 countries. It is unique in that the youth can be its members for no more than 2 years, yet a strong foundation for their life is built in those two years.
The First Year students of YCS Angelore had organised a farewell programme to Rev. Fr Lawrence Cutinho as well as the outgoing YCS students on the evening of 10th May 2023.
Rev. Fr William Menezes, Parish Priest was the President of the programme. Mr. Roshan Patrao, Ms. Renita Menezes and Ms. Reema Sequeira, Animators; and Ms. Reevina Fernandes, President were present on the dais.
Ms. Saloni Veigas welcomed the gathering. In his message, Mr. Roshan Patrao urged the members to be disciplined in life. He also urged them to stand out in the crowd and be extraordinary in their approach to life. In his message, Rev. Fr William Menezes called upon the members to be aware of world affairs. Rev. Fr Lawrence Cutinho thanked the Parish Priest for encouraging him in all his endeavours and recollected the time he spent with the YCS members. Ms. Renita Menezes presented a short video on the invaluable moments Rev. Fr Lawrence Cutinho and YCS members spent together. As a token of love, YCS presented a bouquet and a memento to him.
Ms. Alvisha D’Souza and Mr. Rayan Lobo shared their experience as YCS members. After the stage programme, entertainment ensued. While the juniors presented dances and songs in honour of their seniors, the seniors reciprocated with their dances and songs. Games too were conducted. Ms. Jane D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks; and Ms. Janice Crasta compèred the programme.
