Nithyadar Ward I observed Ward Day on 13th November 2022. The ward meeting was held at the residence of Mrs. Emmy Nazareth. The meeting commenced with the election of ward representatives. Rev. Fr Lawrence Cutinha, Assistant Parish Priest, conducted the election. Mrs. Philomena Menezes and Mr. Jerald D’Souza were elected the ward representatives. Further, Mrs. Rose Maria D’Souza was elected Liturgy Secretary; Mrs. Philomena Menezes, the Small Christian Communities representative; and Mr. Roshan Patrao, Aanj representative.
As part of Ward Day, Ms. Sharon Patrao, Mrs. Shalet D’Costa and Mrs. Mary Patrao conducted games for children and elders. The young ward members also sang a song to entertain the ward members. Despite her advanced age, Mrs. Emmy Nazareth, bagged the prize for listing Christian surnames. The ward members sang a song in her honour to thank her for being the host.
