Vanamahothsava Celebration by Gabriel Ward III

The members of Gabriel Ward III organised Vanamahothsava celebration on 10th July 2022 at 5 pm at the residence of Mr. Marcel Pinto. The Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. William Menezes presided over the function. Mrs. Niranjana was the Chief Guest. Mr. Noel Pinto, Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council; Mrs. Lolina D’Souza, Secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council; and Mr. Roshan Patrao, Convener of 21 Commissions were also present during the programme. Mr. Felix Moras, the Gurkar of Gabriel Ward III welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Niranjana spoke beautifully about how a plant would take care of us our entire lifetime if we take care of it for just 4 years. In his presidential address, Rev. Fr. William Menezes elaborated on living in unison with nature. Rev. Fr. William Menezes, Mrs. Niranjana, other guests and the gathered residents planted a sapling in the front yard of Mr. Marcel Pinto. The guests were presented a sapling as memento. A sapling of brinjal and a packet of mixed vegetable seeds distributed to all gathered by Mrs. Anitha D’Almeida. A few spot games were conducted to entertain the gathering. Mr. Manohar Saldanha gave the vote of thanks. Mrs. Shanthi Moras compèred the programme.
