Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh(R), Angelore Unit in collaboration with Parisar Ayog celebrated Van Mahotsav (Environment Awareness Day) on August 7, 2022 at the church premises at 8.30 a.m.
The programme was presided over by the Parish Priest Rev. Fr. William Menezes along with Rev. Fr. Lawrence Cutinha, Assistant PP; Rev. Fr. Deepak D’Souza; Mr. Noel Pinto, Vice President- Parish Pastrol Council, Mrs. Lolina D’Souza, Secretary- PPC; Mr. Felix Moras, President- Catholic Sabha Angelore Unit, Mrs. Anitha Almeida, Convener of Parisar Ayog and Mr. Roshan Patrao, Co-ordinator of Parish Commission.
Mrs. Philomena Tauro, the resource person elaborated on protecting the environment and suggested ways to do so. In his presidential address Fr. William Menezes addressed the gathering on the importance of growing plants and trees.
Plants and vegetable seeds were distributed to the parishioners. Mr. Felix Moras welcomed the gathering. Mr. Roshan Patrao proposed the vote of thanks and Mr. Paul Rodrigues compered the programme.
