THE TEACHERS' DAY CELEBRATION AT ANGELORE CHURCH, MANGALORE.
The Teachers Day was celebrated at Guardian Angeles, church, on 1st September,2019. Vicar Rev. Fr. William Menezes celebrated the Holy Eucharist at 7.30a.m. The teachers took charge of the liturgy.
"A Teacher's aim should be to cater to the all round development of his students, rather than only to score in the examination" so said Fr. William in his homily during mass.
A programme was organised in the Golden Jubilee Hall of the church, where Rev. Fr. Alwyn Serrao, the Principal of Padua Degree College was the Chief Guest. In his resourceful talk he mentioned the educational tools for a teacher, to build a good relationship with students and to bring out their hidden talents to make them society oriented persons rather than self oriented.
Mrs. Juliana Mascarenhas introduced the Chief Guest Fr. Alwyn to the gathering. Mr Roshan Patrao welcomed the gathering. Fr. William greeted the teachers and Mrs Cicilia Pinto proposed the vote of thanks. Mr. Albert Lasrado compered the programme.
