'Aati' has special significance in the culture of Dakshina Kannada. 'Sthree Sanghatan' commemorated this month by celebrating 'Aatidonji Dina' on July 24 at the Golden Jubilee Memorial Hall. Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Lawrence Cutinha, Vice President of the Parish Council Mr. Noel Pinto and Convener of Sthree Sanghatan Rev. Sr. Lona graced the occasion. President Mrs. Sunitha D'Souza welcomed the gathering. Children of Sthree Sanghatan members who had excelled in SSLC and II PUC examinations were felicitated. In his message, Rev. Fr. Lawrence Cutinha vividly portrayed how dining together strengthens human bonds. Mr. Noel Pinto gave glimpses of richness of the Tulu month 'Aati'. Members sang some traditional songs. Secretary Mrs. Maria D'Souza gave the Vote of Thanks. Mrs. Geetha D'Souza compèred the programme. The programme concluded with sumptuous traditional dinner prepared by the members.
