As part of its Golden Jubilee celebrations, the Angelore Chapter of St. Vincent de Paul Society had taken up the cause of building houses for three of their adopted families. The beneficiaries are Mrs. Jacintha D’Souza and Mrs. Eliza D’Souza of St. Joseph Ward II and Mrs. Prafulla D’Costa of St. Joseph Ward I, Angelore. Consequently plots were identified at Neermarga. The foundation stone laying ceremony was held on 5th May 2024 at 9.30 am at Neermarga. Rev. Fr William Menezes, PP Guardian Angel Church and Rev. Fr Paul Pinto, PP St. Joseph the Worker Church, Neermarga were present. Rev. Fr Paul Pinto invoked God’s blessings. Rev. Fr William Menezes blessed the plots and relics.
The Vice President and Secretary of PPC, Coordinators of 21 Pastoral Commissions and Small Christian Communities of both parishes were present along with members of SVP. The parishioners of both Angelore and Neermarga witnessed the foundation stone laying ceremony. The programme was conducted under the leadership of Br. Ivan D’Silva, President of SVP Angelore. The programme concluded with tea and snacks.
