Celebration of Holy Eucharist is an indispensable part of every Catholic's life. While some attend the mass every day, the rest fulfil their obligation on Sundays. However, many elderly are not able to attend the mass due to age-related ailments or infirmity. For such devotees, the Church has given the option of celebrating the Holy Eucharist at their homes.
On 1st December, the members of St. Raphael Ward II gathered at the residence of Mrs. Philomena Saldanha to celebrate the Holy Mass at 6.15 pm. There were several elderly and sick who were unable to attend Sunday mass. Assistant Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Lawrence Cutinha celebrated the Holy Eucharist. To show their solidarity with the elderly, 35 members of the ward partook in the celebration.
