On 10th September 2023, from class 4 to 10 catechism children had seminar on liturgy, how to participate actively, various parts of mass, about sacraments. Resource person was Rev. Fr Boniface Pinto, Professor at St. Joseph Seminary, Jeppu.
God has instituted sacraments on the Cross. The most important sacrament is Baptism. One can receive six sacraments and centre of all sacraments is the Holy Eucharist. Sacraments are springs of grace. He also spoke about active participation in the Holy Eucharist and its importance. Due to Eucharist we have become friends with Jesus. We have to completely and actively participate in the Eucharist. The children actively participated in the seminar and were responsive. The children were provided sumptuous breakfast to refresh them and with enthusiasm they were able to concentrate on the topic. Fr Gerald Francis Pinto invoked God's blessings on the gathering and welcomed Fr Boniface and those gathered. This seminar was very interesting one with slides and games which made understanding easy. Through this seminar children gained a lot of insights about liturgy.
