Advent marks the beginning of the liturgical year. The season of Advent was inaugurated at Guardian Angel Church by lighting the first candle during each mass on 30th November and 1st December 2024.
The Advent wreath is one of the symbols of Christmas. The concept of the Advent wreath originated among German Lutherans in the 16th century. However, the modern Advent wreath took shape in the 19th century. The Advent wreath has four purple or rose candles. Sometimes a white candle is placed in the middle, which is lit on the eve of Christmas.

ಆದ್ವೆಂತಾಚೊ ರೀದ್ ನತಲಾಂ ಕಾಳಾಚೊ ಏಕ್ ಸಂಕೇತ್ ಜಾವ್ನಾಸಾ. ಆದ್ವೆಂತಾಚಾ ರೀದಾಚಿ ರಿವಾಜ್ ಜರ್ಮನಿಚಾ ಲೂಥರನಾಂನಿ 16ವ್ಯಾ ಶತಮಾನಾಂತ್ ಆರಂಭ್ ಕೆಲ್ಲಿ. ಪುಣ್ ಆದ್ವೆಂತಾಚಾ ರೀದಾಕ್ ಸಾರ್ಕೆಂ ರೂಪ್ ದಿಲ್ಲೆಂ 19ವ್ಯಾ ಶತಮಾನಾಂತ್. ಆದ್ವೆಂತಾಚಾ ರೀದಾಂತ್ ಚಾರ್ ಜಾಂಬ್ಳಿ ವ ಗುಲೊಬಿ ರಂಗಾಚ್ಯೊ ವಾತಿ ಆಸಾತ್. ಥೊಡೆ ರೀದಾಂನಿ ಧವಿ ವಾತ್-ಯೀ ದವರ‍್ತಾತ್. ತಿ ವಾತ್ ನತಲಾಂಚಾ ಫೆಸ್ತಾ ದಿಸಾ ಪೆಟಯ್ತಾತ್.
