In order to give an insight into the opportunities available for the youth in Indian Civil Services, the Commission for Education organised a programme titled Preran for the children and youth of the Parish on 2nd August 2026 at 10 am at the Golden Jubilee Memorial Hall.
Dr. Ronald Pinto, Retired Professor, Department of Chemistry, St. Aloysius College, was the resource person, who gave elaborate information on the opportunities available in the civil services.
Parish Priest and the President of the programme, Rev. Fr Fredrick Monteiro, spoke on the importance of Catholics opting for civil services.

Fr Avil Santhmayor, Resource Person Dr. Ronald Pinto, Vice President of the PPC Mr. Roshan Patrao, Secretary Ms. Renita Menezes, Convener of the Commission for Education Mrs. Tressy D’Costa were present on the dais. The programme began with prayer services by Rev. Fr Avil Santhmayor. Mrs. Sarika Rodrigues introduced the resource person. Mrs. Rosa Patrao compèred the programme.
One hundred and ten children and youth from 6th standard to PUC along with their parents participated in the programme and received valuable information on the topic.
