Lourdes Ward I celebrated the feast of nativity at the residence of Mr. Joseph and Asha Martis in the evening of Sunday, 18th September 2022. Sr. Caroline and Sr. Voilet from St Ann’s Providence were present. Gurkar of the ward, Mrs. Asha Martis welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Swathi Almeida, the Master of Ceremony led the prayer service, the members of the ward offered flowers to Mother Mary singing the hymn ‘Moriyek Hogolsiyam’. Mrs. Molly D’Souza conveyed the importance of Mother Mary to the members of the ward. The gathering savoured the traditional ‘vorn’ mixed with the new corn.
Mrs. Asha Martis and Swathi Almeida entertained the gathering with games and prizes were given away to the winners. Mrs Selestine Veigas conducted quiz about Mother Mary. Teachers day was celebrated by hounourung our teachers. A greeting song for our teachers which was composed by Joyal Machado was sung by all children of the ward. The programme concluded with refreshments. Ms. Irene Robert gave the Vote of Thanks.
Ms. Swathi Almeida compèred the programme. 45 members were present for the programme.
