St. Michael Ward II celebrated the feast of Nativity at the residence of Mr. Vinay Mascarenhas. Rev. Fr William Menezes, Parish Priest, was the Guest of Honour.
The celebrations began with a prayer and all the ward members honoured Infant Mary by offering flowers and singing hymns. After prayer mementos were presented to all the teachers of the ward in commemoration of Teachers’ Day. Mrs. Sweety Misquith, who has passed M. Sc. (Nursing) with distinction and Jane Mascarenhas who has been promoted as Assistant General Manager in Karnataka Bank were felicitated with mementos. All the children who attended the novena were given gifts.
Games were conducted to entertain the ward members and prizes were distributed to the winners. Jane Mascarenhas had prepared wonderful meals and everyone had their fill.
All the arrangements were done very well and all the ward members who gathered spent time with one another and celebrated the feast of Nativity with a sense of oneness and joy. Thirty-five members of the ward participated in celebrating the feast of the family.
