Lourdes Ward I celebrated Children’s Day and elected new ward representatives for the Parish Pastoral Council for 2023-25 on 20th November 2022 at the residence of Mrs. Magdeline D’Souza.
Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Fr Lawrence Cutinha conducted the election. Mr. Neilesh Rasquinha and Mrs. Cecilia Dsouza were elected ward representatives.
Prayer service followed the election process. Following the election, Mrs Cecilia D’Souza stressed upon the importance of Children's Day by narrating the story of Chacha Jawaharlal Nehru. Thereafter all the children showcased their talents in the form of various group dance, solo singing, and skit. Various games were conducted by Mrs. Asha Martis for the children. Many children attended the meeting and participated in the games. Attractive prizes were given to the winners.
Master Johan compèred the programme. 42 members participated in the celebration.
