For the first time, in the history of Angelore Parish, a Fashion show Competition for ladies above 35 years of age was conducted in the Golden Jubilee Hall.
The competition was organised by the Angelore Ladies League on Sunday, the 22nd Sept 2019 at 4.30 pm.
Rev. Fr. William Menezes, the Parish Priest Presided over the function and in his message he said that ladies are the source of light at home, parish and society. Therefore they should make the best use of their time and talents. He congratulated the ladies league for having organised the show.
24 ladies took part in the competition and it was conducted in three rounds namely the Ramp Walk, the Talent Round and the Question Answer Rounds. In between the rounds YCS, Angelore Youth Movement and senior citizens presented a lively variety entertainment. Ms Evette Pereira, Ms. Sonia D'leema and Ms Trisha D'sliva were the judges of the show.
Mrs. Silvia D'Souza, Gabriel ward was the winner and Mrs. Evelyn Dsouza Infant Jesus ward was the first runner up and Mrs. Jascintha Pinto, Fathima ward was the second runner up and they were crowned by Mrs Jyothi Monteiro, president of Angelore Ladies League, Mrs Jyothi dias secretary of Angelore Ladies League Mrs Dora Rodrigues, secretary of the Parish council.
Mrs Shanti Rasquinha proposed the vote of thanks and Mrs Lolina D'Souza and Mrs Doreen Pinto successfully conducted the event.
