Fr Mathew Vas, who had rendered pastoral service for 7 years in the parish, on the eve of his transfer to Kinnigoli Parish, was given a warm send off by the parishioners of Angelore.
On 3rd June 2018, after the 7:30 mass, short program was conducted in the church. Mrs. Dora Rodrigues the secretary of the Parish council in her Thanksgiving address highlighted the achievements of Rev Fr Mathew Vas as a devout spiritual guide and efficient administrator who had successfully cleared all problems of the church boundary and church property and wished him good health God's blessings and a whole hearted Corporation in his new Parish.
Flower bouquet and a momento was offered by Mr. Roshan Patrao on behalf of the Parish community. Presidents of all Parish associations wished him all well with floral tributes.
The church Choir under the leadership of Mr. Melwyn Peris Sang a sentimental farewell song.
In his reply Fr Matthew thanked all parishioners and the Parish Council members for their love, support and cooperation in the past 7 years.
On 5th June 2018 at 4 p.m. Fr William Menezes the new Parish priest, Fr Denzil Lobo and many parishioners accompanied Fr Mathew as he left Angelore to Kinnigoli.
