On 11th February 1858, Virgin Mary appeared to 14-year-old Bernadette at the cave of Massabielle, Lourdes, France. Subsequently, she appeared to Bernadette on 18 more occasions. To commemorate this, every year we celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes on 11th February.
On Saturday, 11th February 2023 at 6.15 pm, parishioners gathered in front of the grotto of the church to recite the rosary. The members of Lourdes Ward I and II led the prayer service. About 60 parishioners participated in the service. Mrs. Juliet, the Gurkar of Lourdes Ward II welcomed the gathering and Mrs. Asha, Gurkar of Lourdes Ward II thanked the parishioners for participating in the rosary. Rev. Fr William Menezes, Parish Priest, blessed the faithful. Mr. Louis D’Souza and Mrs. Sunitha D’Souza of Infant Jesus Ward decorated the grotto with flowers.
