The unique trait of the Mangalorean Catholics of coastal Karnataka is that whichever part of the world they go, despite retaining their religious identity, they blend well with the local culture and imbibe many of the local practices into their own. One such tradition of our home town is blessing of vehicles, which is part of the festive season of coastal Karnataka.
The tradition was observed at Guardian Angel Church during the weekend after the celebration of Holy Eucharist on 12th and 13th October 2024. After each mass, a prayer service was held in front of the church and all vehicles were blessed.
