The choir of Guardian Angel Church celebrated the feast of their patroness St. Cecilia on 27th November 2022. To thank the Lord Almighty for the blessings showered on them in the past year, they partook in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist at 7.30 a.m. Rev.Fr. Lawrence Cutinha, Assistant Parish priest celebrated the mass and the liturgy was led by the choir.
In the evening, a get together was organised at the Golden Jubilee Hall. The programme commenced with a prayer song. Rev. Fr William Menezes, Parish Priest; Rev. Fr. Lawrence Cutinha, Assistant Parish Priest; Mr. Noel Pinto, Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council; Mrs. Lolina D'Souza, Secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council; Mr. Ullas Rasquinha, Chief Guest of the day; and Mr. Melwyn Peris, Choir Master graced the programme with their presence. Mr. Ullas Rasquinha expressed his love towards the church choir and appreciated each and every member for their selfless service.
Mr. Melwyn Peris, the Choir Master, was felicitated by the senior members of the choir in recognition of his relentless service to the church for the past 41 years and on receiving the 'Kalakaar Puraskar'.
Games were conducted to entertain the young and the old members of the choir alike. The programme concluded with sumptuous dinner.
