‘LAUDATO SI’ CAMPAIGN
Pope Francis’ encyclical ‘Laudato Si’ is an appeal to the world to protect our mother Earth. The Mangaluru Diocese has actively launched this campaign under the leadership of Bishop Dr. Peter Paul Saldanha.
Angelore parish too symbolically launched this campaign by planting a sapling in the church premises. On Sunday the 25th of November, after the 7.30 a.m. mass a sapling was planted by the Vicar Fr. William Menezes.
In his address to the parishioners he said, ‘Humanity is witnessing the environmental crisis due to our irresponsible use of the natural resources freely given to us by God. Time has come now to control our greed and limit our wants. Otherwise we shall invite more and more crises through natural calamities.’
