Angelore parish Catholic Sabha unit holds 'Jana Samparka Sabhe'

The Catholic Sabha unit of Guardian Angel Church Angelore organised a half-day 'Jana Samparka Sabhe' to address the public grievances here at Angelore Church Hall on October 21st 2018.

Addressing the gathering ACP South Mr Rama Rao said, 'We have introduced a new beat system concept. Kankanady Police station jurisdiction is divided into 52 sectors and each sector has one beat officer who ensures law and order in their asigned places'.

Kankanady Police station Inspector said that the  'Jana Samparka Sabhe' helps to connect with the people. Police can not do all the works and he requested the public support in maintaining peace and harmony in the region. Every person should know how to protect oneself and their valuables and the precautionary measures to avoid thefts. People can help police in identifying the culprits and habitual offenders by giving them necessary information. People have the mindset that the police may leak the information about the informer to the accused which is untrue. Further he assured that the confidentiality will be maintained at any cost.

Parish Priest Fr William Menezes who presided over the programme said that the 'Jana Samparka Sabhe' is very much useful to interact with each other and assured the police department and others the required co-operation from the Church and Christian community.

The local corporator and the Mescom officer were present on the occasion.

The  'Jana Samparka Sabhe' provided a platform for the public to interact with police officers and other departments.
