Young Christian Students (YCS)

Young Christian Students (YCS) is a movement of awareness, reflection and action for teenagers. It caters for an all-round personality development, leadership training, a great depth and breadth of vision of life and action. It offers a real challenge to students and trains them for leadership in and through action. It was founded in the year 1931 by Cardinal Joseph Cardijn in Belgium and was consolidated in India by the efforts of Sr. Jean Devos in 1966 at Bangalore.

It adheres to the unique methodology of See, Judge and Act which results in Awareness, Reflection and Action. The efforts of the YCS are directed towards the integral development of the students and teenagers by promoting religious harmony among people of different faiths. The ultimate aim is to build a new society based on Justice and Peace.
